I think the enterprise user brings up some very valid points that apply not just to enterprises but also to SMB/SME users. Collanos has a major plus point that is also a major flaw, i.e. the high-level encryption. This means you can't run search engines on Collanos files (so Desktop Search of any kind is out, as is any kind of centralised indexing), and of course Collanos doesn't come with its own search tool, or even a preview pane. From an SME IT manager's viewpoint the backup issue is relatively easy to resolve (for example: set up one central user who is included in all conferences, and whose files are then backed up regularly to a central server). But full-text search is now a fundamental part of online office work, and in my view the absence of a full-text search feature is the one thing that prevents Collanos Workplace from being an absolutely stellar product.
